Minimalist Plain Tanto Fixed Blade Neck Knife -
They are very small and lightweight knives which give surprising comfort and control, thanks to the unusual geometry of the full tang blades, aided by three finger choils, friction grooves for the thumb, hand contoured green black Micarta® scales, and a braided fob. Unlike many small neck knives, this handle is really functional for a wide variety of daily cutting tasks. Each Minimalist comes with a custom fitted Zytel® sheath and neck paracord for inverted carry as a neck knife. The knife is held securely in place by a positive detent which locks the base of the blade in place for maximum safety. Because the knife and sheath weigh about two ounces together, it is a personal carry you will barely notice.

Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.

Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.

Bead Blast Finish -
can be defined as any non reflective finish applied to the metal surface by bead blasting or sand blasting the blade with any of a variety of media. The intent is to roughen the surface for anti glare. The trade off is it tends to be more susceptible to corrosion due to the increased surface area exposed. This finish is also commonly referred to as a "military finish".

Full Tang -

Zytel -
A glass filled nylon material used in making handles for knives. DuPont trademark.

Nice Tanto, very light, pretty darn sharp from the factory, but after a little work with a whetstone you can shave with it. Locks into the sheath very securely, comes with a belt loop and a bit of para cord, both work. Has a bit of cord braided at the base of the hilt, some people like it because of the extra grip for the last finger, I just cut it off though. It has good balance, center of gravity is centered between the first and second finger grove. Overall, it's an outstanding knife for the price. On a separate note, CTD did an excellent job getting my product shipped in a timely manner as always, I was hoping to get it next Monday at the earliest, got it on Friday (I placed the order late Wednesday).
