Partially Serrated Boker Plus Steel Mariner Fixed Blade Knife -
This knife is a new rendition of the popular Ti-Mariner. The titanium coated 440A stainless steel blade provides the best of both worlds, an aggressive serrated edge and corresponding plain edge. The handle is durable G-10 with oval cutouts for weight reduction and tie offs. Knife includes a Kydex sheath.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

440A Stainless Steel -
440A is a US standard of a martensitic stainless steel. It is known to keep a hard edge but not as tough as some of the other martensitic stainless steel.

G10 Handle -
Apoxy filled woven glass fiber; it is extremely stable, unaffected by temperature changes, and can be decoratively tinted, ground, and polished. G-10 makes excellent handles and handle scales for knives.
