4.0 Rating Excellent little gun! - 9/17/2010
Reviewer: Glock Fan
My wife and I have bought a ton of stuff from CTD and we never do reviews but I just had to say something about this gun. With the right ammo this Glock-a like pistol is outstanding in terms of accuracy and reliability, it has the same weight and dimensions as a G19 and externally it looks similar apart from the external hammer and safety/de-cocker switch. Most Glock accessories fit; snug fit in a Fobus holster and the Glock light and laser fits the rails but doesn’t lock in place. My wife bought one of these pistols last month and since then we have put over 1200 rounds of CCI Mini Mag and around 400 various other types of Wal Mart purchased .22 ammo through it. When shooting the CCI ammo we have had ONE failure to fire out of 1200 which was probably due to the ammunition itself, and no other mal functions! The cheaper bulk ammo does not have the power to consistently recycle the action without the odd mal-function and ammo with a very round bullet profile can hang on the upper part of the breach face. The slide finish does not match up to Glock standards but to be fair, what other gun does? The single action trigger is OK, just a bit different from a Glock, and the adjustable rear sight could be better (hence only a 4 bullets, rating although I would have liked to give it 4.5). However, as a fun, accurate .22 training pistol with the weight and feel of a G19 for less than the cost of a conversion unit, this pistol is a good option for practicing drills or just having .22 plinking fun. You will want spare Mags which you can order through a dealer. Using CCI Mini Mag ammo, this excellent little gun gives Glock like reliability, better than many top-end full bore pistols. At this price it will make you a very happy owner; Well done CTD! But why no spare mags for sale?

1.0 Rating The Real Review - 10/13/2010
Reviewer: masonm
At first glance, this gun is great. I liked the way it felt in my hand and its size. It’s sturdy and well built. It’s a great conceal carry gun. I took this gun to my buddies and I had 4 different types of ammo. CCI, Blazer, Thunderbolt, Federal, and CCI Mini Mags. With all the ammo I had jams left and right. The one that did perform the best were the CCI Mini Mags, but it still jammed at least 3 times a magazine. I don’t know if this is because of light strikes or what, but there was a hit on the casing, just no boom. This happened with all the ammo besides Mini Mags 6-7 times a clip. The first round never fired. I had to cycle it every time and this happened with all ammo. Also, the hammer did not stay pulled back sometimes when you pulled the slide back you would have to hold it back for a sec and make sure it did. Please, don’t make my mistake save up and buy the Walther P22 it’s worth a little extra. I cleaned the gun while taking it out, testing to eliminate every possible problem. I’m very confused how a gun that looks so well built inside and out preformed so poorly.

4.0 Rating Sweet! - 10/28/2010
Reviewer: Donster
I have searched for this gun for more than a month. At a local gun show I found one dealer who had it, but his price was higher. I called around to gun stores and found two who had them for sale, but the price was higher. It is true the gun comes with only one mag. Buy good .22LR ammo like Blazer, CCI or Remington. I had no problems with misfires or jams. I shot 200 with no problem. It is equal to my S&W 22LR Model A, and perhaps a little more accurate. Buy this gun through Cheaper Than Dirt. They have the best price and are so easy to work with both you and your FFL. You will not regret buying this gun. Buy this gun now!
