I bought and installed these on my Sig Sauer 1911, and they work beautifully. They went on easy and look pretty good too. They really speed up loading time. For the price I don't think you can go wrong. I did read from some other reviews that they tend to be a little bit of a pain in the arse if you have an ambi thumb safety. But for me and my gun they are wonderful

First off if you buy gns to put crap on them to make them look pretty for the internet forums don't buy these. They are NOT pretty. What they are however are very good slim profile grips. They provide excellent traction without causing drag on clothing for concealment purposes. Also, the mag-well is very well executed on these grips and exponentially sped up reloads. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is that the slim profile isn't compatible with standard grip screws which stick out from the side a bit. Not much, but it would be nice if they were flush. I'd gladly pay a buck or two more for a set of stock screws that sit flush. Good job Mako and thanks CTD for the usual fast service.

Installed this on a Sig 1911. I think it looks pretty good. It took all of 2 minutes to install, and easily reversible. And best of all, it costs less than other grips.

CTD's promptness is always a perk and getting my parts two days earlier than expected just made my week. I purchased this product along with the rubber insert and couldn't be happier with the combination of the two. My 1911 already had a slightly angled chute so I just mildly filed the grip's chute to match and trimmed the rubber grip little at a time and the result makes me feel 100 times better. Solid checkering, thin stature, strong fit, and timeless black. Can't go wrong with this purchase or CTD.

Nearly perfect. Installed these on my Springfield 1911-A1. The only modification I had to make was some file work on the right side panel for my Ambi-Safety. Not a big deal. Otherwise, good deep checkering molded into the grip provides a more than solid purchase. The grips are a little slim so the grip screws protrude somewhat. But, the big picture is the mag-well. If I accidentally dropped my 1911 with a magazine in it would it feed or lock-up. Nice product and delivered with CTD's usual speed.
