The Pelican 1170 Protector hard case is a crushproof, dustproof, and watertight case that you can customize to fit pistols, camera gear, or anything else you want to protect from natures extremes. The exclusive neoprene o-ring in conjunction with the dual ABS latches seal the 1170 from the elements. Pelican's Pick N Pluck foam lets you customize the interior to give a firm, but padded grip around whatever you choose to put in it. To prevent lockup there is an automatic purge valve for quick equalization of pressure from changes in atmospheric pressure. As far as durability goes, it is a Pelican case, and is further mil spec and NATO codified so it can handle as much if not more than you.
