Fits my custom 270 wsm which is just under 28" The problem is with the zippers that close the backpack straps,always separating. Would not recommend. I am returning for a different case.

The case seems well built, and it fit my Loaded M1A with an inch or two to spare. The main zipper works well, and I like the built in back pack style carrying straps. The side pouch has plenty of room to hold a few magazines and other stuff. My only complaint is that the zippers for the side pouches are very poor. They are difficult to work, and two of the pull tabs broke off the second or third time I used them. I may try putting some split key rings into the zipper pulls to see if they will work. If not, I may return the bag for a replacement.

I thought I was buying an inexpensive rifle case until it arrived. I realized immediately what I got was a case that is worth twice as much as I paid for it. The hidden backpack straps are a big plus. I can strap it on my back and take off in my quad.
