bought it for a savage 64 .22 and it works just fine. mount is tight,5 shots to center and hit black square at 50 yards in bright sunlight! for the price what more could you ask for-wanted fast acquisition sight and it works. also very light weight-nice hunting red dot.

The mechanical function of this inexpensive red dot is actually pretty good. My complaint is the mounting bracket...it doesn't fit a mil spec Picatinny rail mount on my Kel-tec su-16c. The two sided, screw operated mounting bracket does not mount evenly or snugly. The Red Dot has a 5/8" weaver base built it, and the brackets are reverse-able to accommodate a wider rail, but it doesn't mount snugly and therefore cannot be trusted to stay put. If you have a standard Picatinny rail, do your research before purchasing a red-dot site with a built in (i.e. non ring-mounted) weaver base.
