This piece of equipment is great! I initially had some sighting issues with the forward rail on my socom 1. I finally decided to buy this item and build the missing pieces using Magpul parts. Truly a great build, Troy makes a great product. Only downside is it's rather front-heavy, but it works nicely for follow-up shots. You won't be disappointed. Easy install, instructions were included.

Like the previous reviewer,I had to download instructions from Troy's website, not a problem. Install was straight forward & I had it done in 30 mins or so. Added a Hogue grip, DPMS stock, & I'm off to the range for some product testing. Fit & finish are outstanding, & CTD's service can't be beat.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 was because there was no instructions with the chassis. I thought I would try the manufacturer's (Troy) web site, and found a link to download the correct one. You NEED the correct instructions to set this up. Once I got them it only took 45 minutes to put it together. Fits together very well and tight. Accepted my M14's bull barrel just barely, but you can't get a bigger barrel for the weapon so it's all good. It pivots from the lower center like an AR for cleaning without having to unscrew anything. It uses an AR style take down pin at the rear. Someone put a lot of thought into this.
