Purchased this product with great anticipation. Waited very patiently for it to get to me. Cannot tell you how disappointed I am. Out of the box, did not work. I called BSA and was on hold for an hour waiting for a customer service rep, until finally a recording came on telling me to leave a message, and someone would call me back. I called Cheaper Than Dirt and their customer service rep was on the phone in a few minutes. After explaining the situation, they told me to send it back and they will either replace it or reimburse me. After further investigation of this product with reviews, I decided to get my money back. What a waste of time. Would not even work in 60 degree weather. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! But Cheaper than Dirt is a great company regardless of this product not working. - DMJ

I don't know what these people are whinning about! I took mine out in cold weather and kept it warm like they recommended. It worked great!!! I have taken pigs, coyotes, bobcat etc! My electronic calls do the same thing when they get cold, so stop whinning!

My wife ordered the ND3 for me for Christmas. It worked well out of the box in the house at room temperatures. The first time out pig hunting in South Texas with temperatures around 38 degrees the laser would barely come on. I swapped the batteries with the same result. The company suggested I wrap the laser with hand warmers to make it work. For this price I should not have to wrap it with a $2 hand warmer to get it to work. Unless the manufacturer works the bugs out of this thing I would not waste my money on this one. I sent mine back for a refund.

I was totally frustrated with this thing. It worked great in the house, I really liked the windage and elevation adjustable mount, and I was starting to get anxious to see a coyote or fox in that green beam. The first time out the unit began to dim quickly and went totally dead within 10 minutes. I thought it must be a problem with the battery. I bought new batteries and went back out. The Same thing occurred; it worked for a few minutes then dimmed and died. I tried yet another battery with the same result. I did some web research and I found some physics explanation of how the diode that generates a green laser must be kept up to temperature to work and that they are not much good under 50 degrees. How the hell are you supposed to use this outdoors during hunting seasons in the north then? This is an unbelievable rip-off.

Tried out this new approach to night sights. Did not expect it to come up to a Gen 3 NV or Gen 2, and it didn't. However, it did surprise me and did much better than expected. Have had it out twice and it does not perform best in ambient light--the darker the better. The last time, I did find what I was looking for, a feral hog. It was good enough for me to put 223 rd exactly where I wanted it at 70 yards. It spotted some coyote eyes but I could not be sure enough to identify the animal so I did not shoot. I am going to keep the ND.3 and have fun with it. Joee
