Brenneke USA makes shotgun slug ammo to suit any application. This Tactical Home Defense Reduced Recoil round, in 12 gauge, has a 2-3/4" shell loaded with a 1 oz rifled lead slug which it fires at 1378 fps. It's a good choice for personal defense and law enforcement.

The THD is the perfect cartridge for home defense, and for law enforcement professionals operating in crowded urban environments. It offers more than enough stopping power (even against criminals wearing bulletproof vests), but because the wad is designed not to separate from the slug, risk to innocent bystanders is reduced. The lower recoil allows fast followup shots in case of a multiple-target scenario. The THD is the best safeguard for you and the ones you love, while still having moderate recoil.

FAVORITE SLUGS TO USE PERIOD!! I'm stubborn and will never get rid of my pistol grip on the shotty, and as long as these are around my wrists won't have to suffer. I'm an avid shotgunner and love to shoot these all day. Not a lot of kick to the shooter. But still one hell of an impact to your target.

Wow! I love these slugs! I bought a box about 7 months ago and have keep a few loaded in my home defense shotty by my door. Last weekend i decided to try em out when i went out shooting. They put about a 5 or 6 in hole thru a peice of sheetmetal from about 15yrds.and I put a 2in deep dent in an old safe i was trying to get into! lol but the recoil is amasing! Very controlable! I shot em out of a Moss 500 With a pistol grip & was able to hold it correctly and look down the sights without getting kicked in the mouth like most slugs will do! Great ammo! buying 5 boxs now!
