1.0 Rating What a piece of Cr@p - 12/22/2012ProMag H&K Bipod Model 91or 93 Rifles Steel 11" Legs Lock in Place1.0000

I was so excited to find a bipod for my HK-91, but when it arrived, I immediately noticed the cheap quality. The legs are "wobbly," the locking levers are stuck and one won"t even move far enough to unlock the leg. When locked in, the legs have a lot of play. The mounting bracket does not fit - not even close! Assuming the radius is even correct, it needs a lot of machining to make the slot wide enough to fit the original H&K mount. And then you probably never get it off again. Scratched the hell out of my rifle trying to install it. Sorry POS. Too bad there isn't a Zero-rating available.

After checking prices online for actual H&K bipods for the C-93, I decided to take the risk and order this unit. Other people had complained about the poor fit, requiring a Dremel tool and a lot of swearing. Just received mine today, and it fits perfectly! Looks great and functions fine!

I wanted this to work; I really did. When I opened the package, I immediately noticed one of the axles was missing its clip. The fork at the top of the leg was spread and the obvious answer was to leave the clip off?? I tried to slide the center bracket on 3 rifles and it wouldn't fit, it started on about a 1/4" and then bound up. When I removed the leg pivot pin without a clip it's obvious the holes are oval which leads to the next thing. The locking mechanism is more of a "movement limiter" than a lock, the legs flop around. If you wanted to rework the faults it would be a nice piece versus the insane pricing of the HK units. POF doesn't seem interested in making them anymore. The aggravating thing is that the quality of the parts is really good, the finish is nice also. The attention to detail and assembly is what kills it. I'm sending it back after a fresh ProMag sting.
