Of course shipping was fast, so this is no fault of CTD. This does NOT fit a 590 without modification. First, you have to remove the 590 heat shield as the forearm will not fit with the heat shield installed. It is very large, both in girth and in height against the barrel, so this forearm does not play nicely with the heat shield. Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Second, even without the heat shield, you cannot fully rack the action without excessive force because of the taper of the 590 barrel near the receiver. The forearm eventually contacts the barrel and "rides" along the taper. You could modify the forearm by taking off interior material, but just be prepared for that. I don't think the regular 500 series shotguns have the same "thick" barrel taper. I believe the 590 has a reinforced (thicker) throat. As for the pistol grip stock, it looks and feels very nice, and installs easily, but the butt pad is of a very thick rubber and not very tactical. Probably a very nice unit for a regular 500, but definitely not effective for a 590.

Does not fit my mossberg 500a that is about 14 yrs old. I read only one other story like mine. So if your mb 500 is around that age don't waste your time. If its a newer model go for it. Well made but don't fit.

CTD got this to me in 2 business days-excellent service. Easy install on this stock-included allen tool removed the pistol grip stock bolt quickly and the new stock fit my Mossberg 500 perfectly. 6 minutes from package open to complete install. Gun feels good at full extension or retraction.

Used this to replace the factory pistol grip on my Mossberg 500A. Its a whole new shotgun now! Fitment only took a few minutes for the rear stock and it handles well. Just note that the forgrip does not fit a 500A without some modifications.

I bought this stock to replace my factory pistol grip on my Mossberg 500. Great construction and easy to install. It fired alot better than the pistol grip.
