I was extremely disappointed with this machete. I tried cutting down one inch and one and a half inch trees and had to use the saw to get the job done. I gave it three bullets because of the saw (it cuts great) and the sheath is very good for this grade of machete. I've owned Gerber products for decades and have never been so disappointed in a tool as I am with the Gator Jr. I wouldn't be surprised if someone told me they had to swing twice to cut butter with it.

Just used mine in the backyard for the first time when I couldn't find my hatchet. Great Machete, for the size! I regrete giving the second one I ordered away as a gift! Can't wait until CTD stocks backup with this product, each of my vehicles will have one! A great product with a proven name (Gerber) at the great CTD price. It doesn't get better than this.

This is one great machete! I have used it a few times, strong and holds a good edge. I shapened it to cut paper. Great for a bob, small enough to fit in a backpack. Thanks CTD!

let me start off by saying Gerber always makes great products at an affordable price!!! CTD just makes them even mare affordable and thanks for that guys. Local retailers are 5$ higher and some butt at my local gun & knife show was trying to get 38$ for these, always shop around. Now for the down side, keep a close watch on your Jr machete cause they are really nice and all the low lifes that wont buy one for themselves will steal them!!! This is my second one, but at least i found it on CTD and it didnt cost as much to replace this time. It would probally be excellent for use on the hands of theifs!!!
