If you think you will be cleaning your semi-auto .22 (such as a 10/22)from the breach, think again. The connectors and jags are too long to fit into the ejection port and up the barrel. It's not a bad system for bolt actions of the advertised calibers. Since I bought it mostly to clean my .22's properly (from the breach) it's not very useful. Cleaning a bolt action with rods is quite simple--don't really need this. From what I have seen lately, the Otis rifle kit will do .22 semi-autos from the breach because it has shorter connectors and jags.

It's a nice kit, but it has some small issues. The borelight is kind of cheap, but it's cute. I got it mainly for my Mini 14 and should work fine for it, I do like the brass adapters, which are much better then the cheap plastic ones you get in other kits. The brushes are ok and do the job. The kit is not as compact as it sounds, actually it is a little bulky, it won't fit into your pockets, but it's better than totting around a toolbox. I think I would buy it again if I had too.

I think this a good product overall. I was wanting a pull though cleaning cord to replace the green bore snake I have. This is a better product because the patches let you see that your rifle is clean. The bore lights are a little cheap but thats not the reason why I bought this. Works good on my Mini-14

Well, first off I was expecting something a touch more compact. I didn't really think this was going to be as small as a basic OTIS kit, but I thought it would be small enough to fit in a medium sized pouch of a rucksack. Wrong. It's really kinda bulky for what it is. Honestly, I could've done without the el cheapo bore light and attachment, lived with a smaller bottle of Rem oil (I don't use that junk anyway), and none of the crappy patches. This would help bring the size down considerably. I *WOULD* like to see Remington put a 8" flexible rod, a .40/10mm brush, and offer this as a "rifle/pistol" combo kit. The .38/.357/9mm brush and .45 brush are already included, so 2 more small components make a nice universal kit without adding much bulk. Otherwise, everything else is okay. The brushes aren't the greatest, but okay. The patch threads are all brass, along with the rod tips. The handle "snap" takes a bit of breaking in, but works as intended. I tend to wrap the cable around my hand and not use the handle. I'm not unsatisfied, but see the potential for far better without much effort. I was about to give 3 bullets, but must admit I do think it's worth 4.
