Folts Minimalist Knife -
The Knife is the Folts Minimalist Knife, designed by knife maker Alan Folts. The Folts Minimalist Knife is a small lightweight fixed blade knife that features a 2.0" Wharncliffe blade made of 5Cr15MoV stainless steel, .10" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 55-57. The blade of this knife has a non reflective bead blast finish and a notched thumb rest. The Folts Minimalist has full tang construction; black and green Micarta scales, three finger choil design for secure grip and a braided fob. A custom fitted Zytel sheath with neck para cord is included with this knife. The Folts Minimalist Knife has an overall length of 5.00" and weighs only 1.6 ounces with the sheath.

Wharncliffe Blade -
A Wharncliffe blade is similar in profile to a sheep's foot but the curve of the back edge starts closer to the handle and is more gradual. Its blade is much thicker than a knife of comparable size. It is similar to the Saxon and Viking Seax.

Fixed Blade -
A fixed blade is a solid piece of steel, anchored to the handle without any folding mechanisms. It's durable and holds up well against the elements.

Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.

This little guy comes out of the box extremely sharp! Necklace sheath is functional and concealable. Great for taking the dogs on walks at night because it saves pocket room.
