Junk! I can not get the clip out, and the release is too hard. After 8 Ruger clips it would not load. I called manufacture and they will not give me my money back. They said not meant for Ruger clips but it says on package rotary clips ????? Do not buy this Shooter's Ridge Mag Loader, you will be sorry. I bought a different brand and it works very well.....
DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!

We filled up the loader and I stuck my 30 r. mag into it. It filled up fine, but getting it out was hard. You had to push down on these rock-hard buttons. We got the mag out, all right, but the loader was in half and the springs all over the gravel, so now the loader is in our basement collecting dust.
it works, but very hard to use

Bought both Butler Creek and Shooter's Ridge loader. Butler Creek is hands down the winner. Shooter's Ridge loader is slow to load (one round per turn versus two rounds per turn), but my biggest complaint is that the magazine catch is almost impossible to operate with your hand, and was only marginally acceptable after grinding down the catch with a dremel. I recommend the Butler Creek loader.

this thing fell apart at the range dropping all the springs in the grass, the first day i used it. I managed to get it all back together and crazy glued the crank mech. togetherand so far so good. I dont like buying things thatfall apart that fast, buy the hot lips.

I was anxious to see this in action for myself. Most online reviews noted that getting magazines in and out was excruciatingly difficult - but they have to be snug for the loader to feed correctly. And there was what looked to be an "add-in" note in the hopper portion with an "extra" reminder that you have to sqeeze the magazine releases to insert or remove the mags - and YES, those springs are tough (especially new!) - to hold the magazine correctly. Smaller 10-round mags can be fun to remove as only about 1/4" sticks out... 25-round mags are much easier. The handle could be a bit more rigid - feels about like you expect a plastic handle to feel. Initially the bullets wouldn't drop down out of the hopper and after separating it from the loader section found out why. There is a spring-loaded door that covers the bullet exit from the hopper when separated from the loader. It's held open when mounted to the loader. This must have closed slightly in transit to prevent the bullets from dropping & being loaded. As soon as I snapped the hopper back on the loader it worked great. Other reviews noted that it can break the handle or push the magazine out (not likely via my first note above on the mag releases) if you try to over-load a mag. I figure I can use the loader to get close to maximum capacity (clear 25-round Shooter's Ridge 10/22 mags make this easy to see) then load the last one or two rounds by hand to save the loader (and my thumb & index finger overall too!). And if you turn slowly toward the end, you'll feel the resistance if the round won't go in & can stop. Definitely recommended!
