I don't know about you, but it was very hard for me to find a short, heavy-duty bipod for my M4/AR-15. Most of the bipods I saw were at least 7", which is too long for my needs. I was trained to use this weapon in the prone position and 7" just won't quite work (unless you play for the NBA maybe). I actually had to call CTD to explain to one of the sales reps what I was looking for and he suggested this bipod for me. I didn't recall seeing it when I looked through the many I saw online, but once I read the description and the specs, I knew this was the one! It's super simple to use and folds up and out of the way in one second. Keep in mind, if you do decide to buy this bipod for your AR, you will probably need an adapter to be able to mount it to the Picatinny rails. The adapter that the sales rep recommended to me is item number 57805 and it works perfectly with this bipod. Hats off to the CTD crew. You guys know your stuff and thanks so much for the recommendation! I absolutely love it!
