KA-BAR's craftsmanship has made them the leader in military style knives that are both rugged and durable. Thermoplastic Kraton G handles provide a sure grip surface. Knife includes a slotted hard plastic sheath for tie-down or web straps.

KA-BAR Black Fighting Knife -
A combination of new and traditional designs made with high quality materials make this knife perform as well as it looks. Designed to be appealing to the eye and hard working, this black Ka-Bar features an attractive black blade and a black, non slip handle. This knife with a serrated edge was designed to perform like the famous U.S.M.C. Ka-Bar. Blade marked 1211.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

1095 Steel -
This knife is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. It's proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR knives.

Epoxy Powder Coating -
A coating process that protects blades from corrosion and also makes them non-reflective.

Kraton G Thermoplastic Elastomer -
Referred to simply as Kraton, is a man made material resembling rubber that can be molded into knife handles. Knife provides a non slip grip.

Powdered Metal -
A process used to make shaped metal pieces. Fine metal particles are molded under pressure and then fused under high heat. Knife also known as sintered metal.

Glass Filled Nylon -
Material used to make sheaths. Nylon is reinforced with glass particles and other materials to provide strength and durability while still allowing some flexibility.

An absolutely beautiful knife. Very balanced and a great sheath. Shipping was a bit slow but overall this was a great product for its price. Comes straight out of the box razor sharp and in pristine condition. If you're looking for a well balaced and particularly eye appeasing knife, buy a Ka-Bar. Thank-you CTD.
