440C Stainless Steel -
This type of steel is a high chromium stainless steel with a terrific balance of good hardness and corrosion resistance. 440C takes a nice edge and is fairly easy to re sharpen. An excellent value priced steel for its performance.

Full Tang -
The term full tang means that the knife and sword is one solid piece with the two handle pieces are pinned on to the blade, one on each side. This is the strongest of the tang types. Half tang knives go the length of the knife handle, but only half the width of it.

This is a really nice fillet knife. My only complaint is the handle is a little small for me, but the rubber gives you a good enough grip so it wont slip out of your hand. It is really worth the money.
