Adding a Wilson Combat Multi-Comp compensator to your 1911 Auto is as fast and easy as changing out the barrel bushing. This ingenious new multi-port compensator features a built-in barrel bushing, three chambers, and seven exhaust ports for maximum recoil suppression. Since the Multi-Comp can be used with your stock barrel, you have greater flexibility with your pistol at minimal cost. The Multi-Comp works on all Government length 5" 1911 Autos with .576 - .580 muzzle O.D. in calibers up to and including .45 ACP. Requires Wilson Combat item 49092 or a stock recoil spring plug shortened to 1.2". Minor fitting required. Blued Finish.

I have purchased 2 of these compensators, one for my Taurus PT1911, and then a 2nd for my Kimber Custom HD II. Install of the compensator is easy enough, however removal is another issue. What has been failed to be mentioned is that as a part of the installation, it's necessary to shorten your weapons spring plug as per the installation instructions. If you're like me, and don't have access to the equipment to do so, then purchasing the additional guide rod kit makes sense since it also contains a shortened spring plug. The 2 part guide rod honestly doesn't make the installation and removal much easier, but don't make the mistake I did by trying to install the bushing without modifying the length of the spring guide. I spent about an hour trying to get the compensator off the end of my weapon. I had no issues with the 2-part guide-rod "rattling". My hope is that CTD will get more in stock soon, so I can re-install the compensator on my Kimber without issue. Otherwise, the compensator worked great on the range with both weapons, though some filing of the bushing may be necessary for a smooth fit.

This is awesome. I got it for my Kimber Custom 2 and it works pretty well. Install took about 20 minutes. I had to shave down the comp a little (can't be seen when installed) to make it fit. Other than that it works great. There was a noticeable difference in recoil. I don't think I'll leave it in all the time, but it will definitely see more use.

I purchased this product to install on my Rock Island Tactical 1911. At first I had a bit of a time getting it to fit together but a little sandpaper fixed that and now it is on my pistol. It does not seem to add too much weight but the compensator sure does take a lot of bite out of the hot loads that I like to shoot. It looks good and the paint has blended well in with the black of my pistol. I am very pleased and recommend it to all.

I got this for a Taurus PT1911 after reading a few other reviews saying how well it went on. I have another success story, went right in after I read through the instructions completely haha. Makes a great looking midnight fireball and I didn't have to change my recoil spring.
