KA-BAR Tanto Knife, Partially Serrated Handle -
KA-BAR Tanto Knife that features a 7" part serrated tanto blade made of 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58. The blade of this KA-BAR Knife has a non reflective black epoxy powder coat and a blood groove. The stacked leather washer handle has a black metal butt cap and guard. A hard plastic sheath is included with this KA-BAR Knife. Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

1095 Steel -
This knife is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. It's proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR knives.

Epoxy Powder Coating -
A coating process that protects blades from corrosion and also makes them non reflective.
