I took this shooing today and was very disappointed. This thing is so flimsy it will barely hold up a FAL on it's own. In fact, it tipped over on it's side once. It might be better for a lighter rifle like an AR, but large bore riflemen will want to look elsewhere.

I haven't been shooting with this bipod, yet, I can tell you right now that I would never take it hunting. In the folded up position this thing is loose and rattles noisily. Overall it seems to be well constructed, but I can't believe how much play this thing has. A fair design implemented poorly. I would not have purchased this if I had seen it first. A big disappointment.

I took a gamble on this bi-pod, since it had no prior reviews. I was hopeful it would be a great product, as every other Stoney Point product. I had used their products in the past and know about their good quality. I mounted this bi-bod on my AR-15 with a 24" barrel. The mounting point is solid. The adjustment in the bi-pod is great, and it locks into place, with a "click" it is secured. The bi-pod is additionally easy to unfold, and gives the shooter the ability to swivel the firearm from target to target without picking up the rifle and re-positioning. I would definitely buy this product again.
