5.0 Rating Very pleased - 6/24/2009
Reviewer: Tom
As stated, these are truly made of Pachmayr compound! Nice hard, dense rubber compound. After seeing so many reviews on others listed that indicated a displeasure at seeing that some were actually plastic, this was a real joy to get a feel on. I'll start with the rear grip. This grip was on and secured in place in less than three minutes from the time I cracked the screw loose on the original grip. Detent spring slides right into the cut hole on the grip. Snugs up nice and tight with no alterations. If you have small hands and you find that the stock grip fits you very well, the TacStar will feel extremely fat. It is! The diameter is considerable to the stock grip. However if you are average in hand size, this will probably feel incredible as it did to me. The front grip was mounted on the UTG Quadrail (Item # ARR-138) that I previously ordered. By sliding one of the rail guards back all the to the edge of the bottom rail, I slid on the new grip. This was very tight and required the use of a small rubber mallet to tap it along the rails until it was at the position I wanted. I locked it down and tightened it up. Supurb fit! There is plenty of room to slid in another rail guard ahead of the grip mount exposing no of the sharp rails. If desired, leaving the front guard off aloows plenty of room for the addition of a light or laser. Pushing the release button takes a bit to get used to but was quickly mastered. I don't see this as an issue since most I believe will set it in the down position and leave it. In the down position, the grip does have a slight amount of play that causes the grip to move slightly to the front and rear but this is slight and not noticable under shooting. Under shootings conditions it's solid and with substantial applied force, I could not snap it out of the down position! I would recommend that if you do fold it up, fold it to the front of the weapon. This allows ample room for your hand under the remainder of the quad rail should you wish. Even if you grab it by the folded grip, it still is a stable way to shoot! Additionally, if you want the ability to fold down quickly under pressure, the grip folded to the front just seems more natural to engage when folded forward. This may be different for left handers. The price and quality are outstanding. I have no complaints regarding product. I highly recommend this product.

3.0 Rating Vertical is Junk - 1/30/2010
Reviewer: JValdez
I ordered this set mainly for the rear grip. Its dense rubber like material and fits my hand very well. The front grip is made of the material, but is not very comfortable. There was too much play in mine when lowered. The plastic mount broke the tenth time I lowered it and its now in the trash.

4.0 Rating Great Deal - 5/31/2010
Reviewer: Bigrummy
A great set of grips nice, thick rubber material. The rear grip fits like a charm on my M&P15. The front grip has a little play in it, and rattles a bit. both grips are thicker than most I have seen but since I have bigger hands they feel great.

2.0 Rating Good feel, lousy construction - 4/13/2015
Reviewer: Earl
Loved the feel of the rubber grips. However... Rear grip actually broke, first time at range. It broke at point where the bolt contacts the grip and pulled off the gun. Installed as directed. Don't know about foregrip, but it is a little loose. Don't buy until they put metal washer or plate in the grip to retain it. Could be dangerous.
