Bought this light, got home took it out of the box and could not get the light to come on steady. The strobe option is all that works. Does Sig check these units before they send them out?

I own this unit and am quite happy with it. I mounted it on a Beretta PX4 and have had no problems with its function at all. The battery seems to be holding a charge just fine, the mounting was easy and reliable, the ports for sight adjustment were found intuitively and the light function is near perfect. My gripes with the unit are minor. As noted by others, there is a minor echo of the laser. It is MINOR and not anything to really worry over since the laser itsself is plenty bright. Also, others have noted that Sig has not made a secure holder for the allen wrench. Lost mine the first trip out and will have to purchase one to keep handy. I won't put it back in the unit again! :( As it stands, I have encouraged others to buy the STL-900L and will continue to do so. You decide.

I purchased one of these units and it would not adjust to align with the bore sighting laser without ghosting.(laser gave off two images) I sent it back to Sig, and they sent me another one that would not turn on. I sent that one back, and they finally sent me one that would calibrate correctly without ghosting. I figured I may have gotten a lemon originally, so I purchased another one. It would not align without ghosting. I called Sig, and the tech started acting miffed as he told me I must be doing something wrong like tightening the unit too tightly on the rail. I am no stranger to firearms and ancillary equipment, so I assured him that I was doing everything correctly. After giving me flack, he finally agreed to exchange it for another one. I just got it today, and when I took it out of the box and put a battery in and turned it on, it was ghosting. I put it on the pistol, and it would not adjust to the bore laser without ghosting. If I want to set it high and off center the ghost will go away, but obviously that is not acceptable. Fortunately, Cheaper Than Dirt has been gracious enough to let me return it to them. You may get a good one, but I can tell you that it will be the "luck of the draw" or a lot of trips back and forth to UPS until they send you one that is right. Based on my experience I can not recommend this product.

Low cost but cheaply made compared to Surefire or Streamlight. Intended to keep it mounted on duty weapon (Sig P220). Could not find a duty holster to carry it mounted. Tried keeping the light in an accessory pouch. Lost both adjustment plugs and allen wrench in first week. You get what you pay for. Just got a return authorization for mine. I'll be carrying a Surefire X300 instead

I can't believe Sig made this ...the first one I ordered the battery would burn on the inside of the device.....so I sent it back for a new one .....and it drained the battery quickly. I really had high hopes for this device.
