I bought two of these rust protector/snap caps to use in a 20 GA side by side. After closing the gun and then re-opening, I found that the bodies of both snap caps had broken and seperated from the bases and slid down the barrels to the chokes where they wedged in. The base of the thing is only a small flat disc, and had this been a semi-auto or pump gun it could easily fall away into the action un-noticed which would allow the loading of a live round into a plugged barrel. I would warn anyone against using this product.
