I bought a Remington Super Cell recoil pad from Remington to fit a 870 wood stock but my stock is about 3/8 in. longer. It will fit the stock of my Remington 1100.

As the other reviews have stated the pad is not a perfect match to the stock, it is smaller and larger in some areas but I didn't think it was that bad. I have this on 3 of my guns and it significantly reduces the felt recoil and I'll take saving the shoulder over the looks of the gun. The pad works great but the fit could have been better.

REMINGTON SUPERCELL RECOIL PAD DOES NOT FIT 1100.CALLED REMINGTON THEY ARE AWARE,BUT REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM ARE SMALLER THAN THE STOCK,AND ALSO NARROWER ON THE SIDES.DON'T BUY IF YOU CARE WHAT YOUR GUN LOOKS LIKE.

The much touted by Remington Supercell Recoil Pad does not fit properly on a new Remington 870 Express (wood stock with rubber pad). I called Remington and they said they were aware of the problem and it does fit stocks with R3 pads. If you have a Remington 870 with a rubber pad don't order this product unless you don't care how it looks. It was to narrow in the middle and stuck out at both the top and bottom. Note: it did not appear to be grindable either.
