This package consists of the MR1470 Stereo, 2 MR-60 Waterproof Coaxial Speakers, a splash cover, and a soft wire antenna. The stereo head unit is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion in a humid and/or salt air environment and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not completely waterproof, however so if you think it will get splashed or rained on you should use a cover to protect it.

This unit will play CDs burned with MP3 or WMA files. It will also play MP3 and WMA files from an MP3 player, flash drive, or SD card via the USB port or SD card slot. MP3 players are recharged when connected via USB. You can patch the audio from your iPod or any other audio source into the stereo via the 3.5mm audio input on the face of the stereo. It will not recharge or control your iPod, through.
