The stock catch irritated the hell out of me, but this is sweet. The back pin likes to fight you coming out (pb blaster works great) this is even cooler after modding the bolt on the gun so the action will not have to be open to change mags.

this is a very good accent to any sks. the ad says it will not work on a yugoslavian sks but it was an exact fit on my yugo. great product

Despite the fact that it took forever to get the pin out of the original magazine catch this one went on easily and works incredibly well, it's a great addition to any sks.

i hated fighting with my sks catch. this fixed that problem and even another. when using other aftermarket mags that use a straight shelf off the rear of mag, i would have to hold back the catch to insert them. now with a slight slapping action, they all fall in place. only 4 bullets for not being steel

Well, after the fourth trip to the range this little sucker broke off while I was shooting, dropping the magazine out of the gun and onto the floor. I still think it's a great idea, but TAPCO should definetly think about making this out of metal instead of cheap plastic!
