I bought 2 boxes of this 45/70 govt, .458 bullets because I wanted to get out there a little farther. Factory loads start falling fast at 128 yards, with a 300 gn. bullet. I handloaded these using 48 grains of powder and im now out there 200 yards with only 3 inches of drop! I now feel comfortable to take this gun out in the brush, on horseback, knowing I can actually get a shot at 200-250 yards, at moose and elk! Cant wait for the buffalo hunt!!
