The 18.5" barrel shipped quickly and fits in the Mossberg 500 well. However, the barrel was loose and not protected in the hard plastic packaging. That packaging is designed to hold any length Mossberg barrel, where the short 18.5" barrel is free to slide around during shipment. Some of the bluing was scuffed off the barrel. A touch-up bluing pencil minimized most of the lost bluing, but the barrel isn't as nice in appearance as it should have been. Be advised of this bluing rubbing issue.

Received the barrel 2-weeks earlier than expected. Did quite a bit of shooting this weekend and I am absolutely loving it. Tactical Stock and forend next!

I bought this to add a Home Defense to my Mossberg 500 Pump. It is good quality no signs of wear. Comes on and off in just minutes. I have more then one Barrel, but this is very good for Home Defense. Has bead only sight so I added Ghost Ring Sights. It is lightweight and you notice the difference this makes in how easy it is to get past a door. Other Barrels are just too long and heavy for fast home Defense.

This is not a Mossberg barrel. It is not marked "Mossberg" anywhere. It did come in unsealed Mossberg packaging and looks to be used from scratches and wear marks on it. It does fit and will serve the purpose that I need it for. This is the first time in many orders from CTD that the product has been less than advertised.
