When I first saw this item I thought my problem had been solved attaching a sling to my Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun. The package arrived in perfect condition and in a speedy manner. I opened it and dry fitted each piece and read over the instructions. I wanted to be sure I one knew how to do it and the parts fit. When I attempted to install the forward cylinder clamp I discovered that the attaching screw was too short to make the connection. I attempted to substitute it for a longer metric machine screw, a M$X0.7 which also didn't work properly. I was finally able to use a standard machine screw. It may not look as pretty, but it works. I might suggest that a listing of those fire arms this product fits with out modification would be very helpful. All in all I am satisfied with the product and it functions which bottom line is all I can exspect.
