This safe worked as advertised for the first year, but the battery pack failed a week after the warranty expired. You're better off spending a little extra money on a better quality safe.

I bought one of these in case I have children over at my house to lock up my pistol. It's a great safe, and not that expensive either. I have it bolted to my night-stand, so good luck with that bad guys! Easy to program...even holds multiple codes. I put the same code in twice (once forward and once backwards) so in case I forget which side to start, it doesn't matter!

I own several small safes, and this DAC safe is one of the best. It was easy to install, and the finger keypad mechanism has been very reliable. I have been using it every morning & every evening for nearly a year and have not needed to change out the battery yet. It is a far better product than the ADG version, for about the same investment. I will soon be buying another one of these for the truck.

I just got this safe for my handgun. I used to keep my gun in a locked box under my bed but realized it would take nuch too long to access if needed. This safe is small but strong and has good features including multiple users (my wife has her own code), alarm security, and the ability to turn off the beep you hear each time you press a button and open the door. It opens quickly and the electronic lock releases smooth and engages smooth. I wish the shelve was a little sturdier but for the money invested, the safe is a good buy.
