These mags work fine. I haven't had any problems with mine. The only thing is that they can tear up your thumb after 10-25 reloads. I'd recommend filing that part down a little to soften it.

Bought this magazine for my Marlin 7000 (a big 5 special rifle made in the 80's and based on the 70 I believe). It works for firing but does not lock the bolt back after the last shot. Looking for mags that do. In the meantime this inexpensive, and a workable magazine. It works just fine.

Although these magazine say on the package that they're for "pre-1996 self loaders," they fit and function perfectly in my brand-new 795. Marlin doesn't seem to know which of their mags fit which of their rifles: I figured out by "eyeball research" on the Web. These work and they're cheap. Four stars instead of five because they're tough to load: stiff spring and sharp edges, but that will get better with time.
