Special Forces Folding Fixed Blade -
Special Forces "Folding Fixed Blade" features: 3.5" AUS 8 stainless steel partially serrated tanto blade with titanium nitride coat, thumb stud for one hand opening, and dual Carson Flippers that form a guard when open; black anodized aluminum handle with Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS), LinerLock and removable pocket clip. 4.63" closed, weighs 3.5 ounces.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

Fixed Blade -
A fixed blade is a solid piece of steel, anchored to the handle without any folding mechanisms. It's durable and holds up well against the elements.

AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon, high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.

LAWKS® -
Many CRKT folders feature the patented Lake and Walker Knife Safety system. This system converts folders into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked, and when the LAWKS lever is slid forward. To fold the knife, simply slide the lever back, and release the liner.

Titanium Nitride -
Extremely hard ceramic material, often used as a coating on titanium alloys, steel, carbide, and aluminum components to improve the substrate's surface properties.

This is a legal fast opening high quality knife. It's essentially designed to get around the laws restricting assisted opening knives without sacrificing ease and speed of opening. Smaller than some of the other CRKT flippers this knife is about the best quality though. Great for concealment and everyday use. Not so great for overcompensating.

This knife feels like real knife should!. IT IS AS QUICK AS A SWITCH BLADE, BUT no way can it open in your pocket accidently. Beauliful and sharp as a razor out of the box. I bought this one awhile back, it holds an edge and is one tough little knife, it opens very fast, some folks thought it was a switchblade and weere surprised that it wasn't. If I ever need another one I know were to find one
