Large Tanto M16, Partially Serrated Edge -
Large Tanto M16-Z 3.875" AUS4 stainless steel tanto blade, dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening, Carson Flipper, glass filled nylon scales over stainless steel InterFrame, hard anodized aluminum back spacer, Lake and Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS), LinerLock and pocket clip. 5.375" closed, 5.9 ounces.

420J2 Stainless Steel -
420J2 is a low carbon stainless steel and also the entry grade of cutlery class stainless steel that is available. It is quite tough and resistant to corrosion. It has low wear resistance making it a very easy to shape and sharpen blade steel.

Serrated Blade -
A serrated blade has a cutting edge that has many small points of contact with the material being cut. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied force at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut.

Tanto Blade -
This knife blade was inspired by the shape of the Japanese sword blades. The point to this style blade is in line with the spine of the blade. The tanto has a reinforced point which is thick and strong and is good for heavy duty stabbing cuts.

LAWKS® -
Many CRKT folders feature the patented Lake and Walker Knife Safety system. This system converts folders into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked, and when the LAWKS lever is slid forward. To fold the knife, simply slide the lever back, and release the liner.

Ambidextrous -
Using both hands with equal ease. Pertaining to knives, it is a knife that is not solely designed for a left or right handed person but can be used with equal ease by both hands.

I have owned this particular knife for about 5 years. During our time together this knife has literally chopped 2x4 studs into fireplace sized chunks, its went mountain climbing in Japan, it has cut my food, killed a couple groundhogs and moles, been used as a pry device, and cut untold kindling sticks, cleared trails, opened boxes and mail.... and so much more. You know how you feel if you get in your truck in the morning and your a mile from the house and you realize that you dont have your wallet.....PANICK! That is how I feel about my CRKT. I had to send it back once for repairs after I bent the blade stops, and while I did this I went and got the newer version with the spring loaded double blade lock device... and the nice wood grain looking handle that my wife says is dressy. THats my Sunday-Go-To-Meeting knife...LOL! Blade durability compared to the 10 or so Spyderco knives is much better. It takes a bit more work to restore the edge, but it does hold it well. This is no junk. It is worthy of the title as life partner!
