| This stock went on easily, looks good and performs better. It does its stated job well. It took me about 10 minutes from the moment it arrived to being on the 870, which included the initial fondling phase. I didn't have the ball end wrench, however, I was able to use a regular hex head. It just didn't turn as easily.
I bought this for an 870 home defense shotgun build. The wife is a little one, and standing next to a big old 12 guage (in addition, of course, to the glock) she hardly clears the top of the barrel if its standing on its butt. I was just as worried about her getting knocked on her butt as the bad guy getting knocked on his, so I bought this stock.
She has yet to shoot it, but after putting several rounds through it myself, I feel content that she'll cotton to it much more, and the psychological effect (that this is a stock designed to absorb the recoil and will make your shoulder feel sooo much more and that its okay this time if you don't cram it into your shoulder, etc, etc, etc,)will probably help even more.
It feels solid, actually DOES absorb recoil, and I'd recommend this thing to anyone, for any purpose. LEOs, too. They need all the advantages that they can get, now that I know that so many of them suck at shooting. |
