Triggers are skeletonized to reduce trigger bounce, which is rough on a fine trigger job & downright dangerous with a very light trigger-pull. A competent pistolsmith can adjust the trigger pull to safely meet your shooting needs.

I am in the process of customizing my Rock Island Armory 1911. This trigger was easy. It dropped right in, the ignition assembly was tough to put back together, but that's just the nature of 1911's and didn't have anything to do with this part. The trigger was a simple install, looks awesome and feels great compared to the original.

This trigger is not the greatest. The bluing job seems to come right off from the get go. Light friction was causing the bluing to come off. The trigger itself was very loose in my 9mm RIA Milspec. I can't recommend it for a snug fit. You're better off just keeping the standard trigger inside if you own a RIA. This trigger will do the job but it's not a snug fit and is loose.

I just received my Wilson Combat trigger, grip safety, and hammer in the mail today. (All were the drop in Wilson parts.) All of them fit in my RIA 1911 G.I. without any modification. Aside from having to re-disassemble once because the trigger wouldn't half cock (this was my first detail strip of the weapon), everything fit wonderfully. The weapon was function checked as intended. Aside from the sight upgrade to my RIA, all parts I have bought for this pistol have been from Cheaper Than Dirt, and I have been impressed.
