I use these patches on my AK, 30-06, 357 magnum, .45 (using 2), and .308. Using a onepiece cleaning rod and a parker-hale jag, this patch is almost universal. The patches dont "stretch" like flannel ones when you try to wrap it around the jag, resulting in consistant tightness and ease. Sometimes it does bunch up when youre first learning which rifle chamber likes which combination of patchwork is needed. Pisses you off during those trial times, but once its figured out, this bag of patches replaced a wide variety of patches I had in different bags for each caliber. The only different bag I have in my kit is for the shotgun barrels. Patches soak up all the residue and in no time I'm already cleaning out the solvent with a dry patch, then a CLP soaked one, then another dry one to finalize the cleaning. The patch is kinda like a sponge in a smaller square-sized package.
