Nowadays everything comes with directions, except for this item. I am not saying it was difficult to install, just that a little guidance is nice. Item proved to be all I expected & CTD service outstanding as usual. Storage tube perfect for broken shell extractor.

Just installed this on my M4 .223 and that was fairly simple. Theres only 6 screws and hex nuts. Problem was mine came 2 hex nuts short. A trip to the local harware store solved that problem. This fits real snug on the 6-position adjustable stock but the quality of the plastic has yet to be seen. If you want a temporary solution to buying a $150+ cheek weld, this is the way to go.

I bought this for my S&W M&P 15-22. Took a little bit to get on, but once it is on it isn't going anywhere. Does improve the stability and makes it much more comfortable when shooting. Also makes your standard stock look so much cooler! As far as the quality, eh... its ok, the material the stock is made out of isn't as sturdy as I was hoping, kinda flimsy and this is why I gave it 4 stars. Over all, worth the money and is a great alternative if your not wanting to drop 100-150 bucks on a legit cheak weld stock for you AR or AR style .22 rifles.

I just bought this for my M&P-15 and it fits great on the stock and the quality seems good. The caps for the storage compartments seem to fit snug but might come loose after repeated firing, nothing that a Dremel and a screw or pin can’t fix. I gave this 4 STARS only because I haven't field tested it yet. Great as a cheek rest and makes the stock far more comfortable.

I guess this would be the poor mans version of getting a buttstock with a cheek weld. It’s a really good add on and I really recommend it but the product itself is a bit cheaply made. Mine has the rubber coating on it peeling off and I haven’t run it through a torture test. Second is the battery compartment as it’s kind of cheap and won’t hold good together especially with the AR's recoil.

Anything from CAA is top notch. This fit perfect on my Remington 12 ga. tactical stock. Nice and tight. The endcaps are really tight, so far dont see how these will let batteries fall out but no exp with it just yet. I have the CAA tactical stock w/batt compartment already so something else will go in here.

I agree with the other reviewer. Great product and places the cheek at the right position but the 2 plugs are cheapo and don't lock in very well. I can see that, with a heavy item (battery) that they'd pop right off. Other than that, I'd recommend it to anyone.

This item will produce a very nice cheak weld. It also istalls easy, and looks reallll good. The caps holding the batteries in will eventually come off with out warning, and spill your expensive batteries everywhere. The caps do not screw in, they just slip in then 1/8 turn to "lock" them. AR-15s produce little recoil in my opinion, so I was dissapionted to see this product spilling my batteries in the weeds, after only 60 or so rounds. I am sure it is great storage for something that wieghs less.

Nice add-on for my collapsible AR stock. It's meant to fit the newer 6 position stocks, but I just cut that top sling-hoop on my old 4 position and this saddle just slipped right on. I don't need the battery space, so I've stuck in there a cut-down nylon brush for some impromptu field cleaning. Looks neat, and one real benefit is that it actually gives me a better cheek weld to the stock as it angles outward on the sides, making the stock more like a wedge-shape (doesn't add any real height, only some bulk sideways.) So if you like to tinker around or you have the 6 position stock, this is not a bad choice at all.
