I have to agree with "poke em'" this is an incredible knife I've used Gerber, Ka-Bar, Glock, and more! and this is yet the best knife I've seen I took it on my hunting trip in Northern Wyoming and used it to clean me, and my buddies deer, two each and it held up to four deer and still came out with a nice sharp edge!Not to mention I dropped it in the dirt >.< Remarkable Blade for sure love how it feels and how easy it glides through. Gut hook is extremely sharp also. I highly recommend this blade to all hunters, I give it a 10 out of 5. Great knife Coldsteel!!!

I havnt gotten to use mine, because pulling it out of the sheath dulls it. i sliced paper with it, and putting it back into the sheath and pulling it back out while pushing the edge int othe soft plastic sheath makes white all up and down the edge and it wont cut paper anymore after a few times. i sent it back to CS and they gave me another sheath, same problem. they gave me a new knife, same problem. i really like the grip and blade geometry and ive heard the san mai III steel is legendary but i guess mine will sit on the shelf unused. i know that its a defect because i have four other knives from them with the same sheath and it doesn't do that...

WOW! That's all I have to say about this knife. I live in Wyoming and man does this knife do the trick. It came to me razor sharp. I just got back elk and deer hunting in south eastern Wyoming. I nailed both of my trophies in one day and this knife was up the challenge. After dressing and skinning my buck I didn't really have anytime to touch up my blade before the evening hunt for elk. When I stuck my elk I figured I would have to pull my other knife but turns out it was still sharp enough to dress this elk out as well. Once again returning back to camp getting ready tp skin my spike bull I was going to change knives but I decided to see what it was up to...AWESOME! The only thing about it is sharpening the blade, it takes a while but you'll have that when you steel so hard it can withstand 2 animals and then some in one day! SWEET!

My go to knife when deer hunting. I think it is the perfect size for field dressing any four legged animal in North America. I really like how sharp it is when you get it is sent from Cold Steel and it holds that edge a long time.
