i got one of these for my ruger 10/22 i took it out to where i shoot my 30-06 it was a nice sunny day and when i went to sight this in i couldent see anything. it was disapointing and i switch on and off from indoor pistol shooting (which includes .22 rifles) i could see it in the indor but it is a hassle to take it off outdoors and sight it in indoors.

well if the sun is not shining you can see your red dot but you won't be able to see your target without night vision, I thought maybe it was just the battery so I replaced it and it didn't help it any so DON't waste your money or time and ammo on this red dot scope and find something that actually works like its supposed to.
