Endura Plain Skinner Folding Knife -
The stainless Endura 4, fills your palm with a handful of steel yet doesn't seem weighty or unwieldy. People who prefer something heavier and stouter seem to gravitate to steel handled knives. Since the handle surface is flat and smooth it offers an ideal palette for engraving or personalizing your knife.
As part of Spyderco's CQI™ (Constant Quality Improvement) philosophy the C10 now offers improved ergonomics - added to the blade's spine is slip resistant jimping, a larger thumb hole, a stronger thicker tip and a new four way clip design (right or left reversible and tip up or tip down). The hollow ground blade has been upgraded to VG-10 and is available in a PlainEdge, SpyderEdge or CombinationEdge configuration.
Skinner Blade -
A cutting blade made of surgical stainless steel with a very small angled back hone, a small grind angle, a small angled front hone, and a reduced size included angle, which has an increased hardness that results in a longer lasting narrow edge geometry blade that has a reasonable cost with increased durability and accuracy, providing greater cutting precision, productivity and net yields, while reducing the compression of the blade and processing downtime.
David Boye Dent -
Custom knife maker David Boye removed a small arc or dent of metal from the lock bar lever of his knives. This removed piece lessened the possibility of gripping the handle hard enough to depress the lock and accidentally unlock the blade while using the knife.
Tip Up and Tip Down -
Refers to which direction the folded knife if positioned by its pocket clip. When closed and clipped in a pocket, whichever direction (up or down) the blade's tip sits defines if it is termed tip up or tip down.
