| I have carried one for years. the clip never gets loose, and they are indestructible and razor sharp. you just clip it into your pocket, so it doesn't fall to the bottom, and they never fall out.
they are weighted perfectly so that with a little practice you can open it as fast as a switchblade with simply a little wrist snap. even after snapping open for years the backspring and lock never gets loose. (they stay closed until you want them open). also, they have almost a perfect 50/50 weight, despite the plastic handle. the plastic itself is incredibly tough and doesn't wear out.
i pretty much never use the thumbhole to open it as it literally takes twice as long as a small wrist snap (you can do it with your arm down by your side, almost imperceptibly to someone watching).
this is one of the best values in knives going, and a great size. also, they are "utility" enough and just the right size that in most jurisdictions, even ones with strict rules, they are completely legal to always have on you. just be sure to leave it at home when you get on an airplane (though in pre-9/11 days i never had a problem sticking it in my carry on toiletry bag... those days are long behind though, don't even consider doing that now - these things are way too sharp). |
