Have you ever longed to pick up your expensive, high performance Samurai sword and run amok through the woods stabbing, cutting, chopping and hacking every inanimate object in sight without the fear of losing all your hard earned money by damaging it?

That's why we created the Katana Machete. Made in our factory in South Africa, it offers a 19" long blade with a modified Tanto style point. Heat treated to a tough spring temper and sporting a black, baked-on anti-rust finish, it comes fully sharpened. To facilitate one or two-handed use, we have paired the blade with a long handle, complete with a sturdy cross guard. Injection molded over the blade's tang, and further secured by two thick bolts, it shrugs off hard knocks and defies the elements.

I didn't expect this to be as sturdy as it is for the price. Sharp right out of the box! If you want a katana, but don't have the hundreds of dollars, or just a larger machete, this would be my suggestion. Like previous reviewers have said, it DOES NOT come with a sheathe, unfortunately, so make sure to factor that in as well.

Great machete. Came very sharp, and is well balanced. Not much weight in the blade for momentum though. I bought this primarily for my girlfriend, as she wanted a "samurai sword" for her survival bag. I said, if you're gonna have a sword, it will at least be practical. So I got the machete sword. Only two downsides: The handle is very wide- she has small hands, it may be difficult for her to wield safely. If you have small hands, opt for something else. Also, the blade DOES NOT come with a sheathe. It came wrapped in cardboard. So, if you're thinking of buying this, be sure to add in the price of a sheathe when calculating the overall price. All in all, a good buy.
