This rag was included in a handgun cleaning kit that I bought for my .308 a few years ago from Dick's. I forgot about it until I learned about storage and lubrication etiquette for my firearms in a concealed carry class. I started using this for my matte-finished, black Stag Model 3 AR platform and cannot give it enough thumbs up. Fingerprints: gone. Rust and aging: non-existent. I've run about 500 rounds through my rifle since using this product and I still love it (even with heat wear), especially in lieu of 'protecting' the entire weapon with on oil overlay as I was taught as a boy with my Dad. There is no comparison, as this continues to protect after weeks when oil alone has failed me in the past. It must be due to the silicone embedding that it is manufactured with. There is a residue, but it is very little compared to what you would experience with putting in a dip or smoking. For people who cherish their weapons, this rag lets you "make love" to your piece while restoring the deep finish it deserves: especially in black flat-coated firearms as most tactical rifles come in these days. I've found that my fingerprints still demonstrate when I handle my weapons, but are easily wiped-off with any cloth after using this rag from Kleen Bore. I've never seen anything like it in quick protection. I tend to take a long time in cleaning my guns, so I really use it to erase blemishes and protect against corrosion. Since finding this jewel in my hand-gun cleaning kit, I have used it on several rifles and shotguns with similar results. My Kleen Bore rag was beginning to finally wear out a little so I bought 4 more to put into my family's bug out bags and my personal mission bag. I will probably buy more in a year or so when I finish these off. I love them, especially for the price. I am an average Joe and am not sponsored. This is a great product and wanted to let other average shooters know about it. Good product!
