This was installed on a 35 year old Revelation (Mossberg 500). Installation was fairly easy but you'll need an Allen wrench to install it. The original buttstock attaches to the receiver with a slotted screw but the Knoxx grip installs with an Allen head. I used a 6mm Allen wrench because most of my tools are metric. I shot 6 rounds through the gun today and it really does reduce the recoil! Great product! This pistol grip, along with the Mossberg 500 12 Gauge 18.5" Security Barrel, has the total length of the gun at about 30 inches. Before was about 50 inches.
