This would be a great, cutting edge scope, if it was still 1980. CTD will be getting this one back from me. Looks great at first glance, but the 3x magnification comes from a second optic that mounts behind the red dot sight. Not saying that's a bad idea, just doesn't look good, nor would it fit on my AR. Scope is worthless as stand alone (reticle fuzzy), and for the money, I have seen way better magnifier systems, i.e. NcStar makes one that comes with side flip mount for "led holo sights." All in all, if you're looking for a red dot sight with low power magnification, keep shopping.
