With the successful performance of the Traditions Vortek muzzleloader rifle, Traditions is giving black powder shooters a unique shooting experience with the Vortek pistol. Taking on key features of the rifle, the heart and soul of the Vortek Pistol is the newly designed break open action with the Accelerator Breech Plug. This breech plug is easily removed for cleaning or removing loads from the Vortek with just three quick turns. There is a very heavy duty O-ring installed on the plug that eliminates blow back for more comfortable shooting. Plus with the new flat face on the breech plug you get better and more consistent ignitions with your 209 primer. The LT-1 alloy frame and 13" ultralight tapered barrel are all given a premium CeraKote finish that is not only durable, but provides long lasting corrosion protection from highly corrosive black powder, cleaning chemicals, and Mother Nature's fury including salt spray.
