Although this revolver is aesthetically beautiful, the high quality ends right there. It really looks nice, but the finish appears to be chromed, not the "Nickel" finish as the manufacturer states. The hammer, cylinder, and trigger are appear to be a gold-toned chrome. As expected, the grips are plastic, but they are not anything that resembles the ivory they are meant to replace. They look like the grips you'd see on a kid's toy gun. And, although I bought this pistol for competing in SASS event black powder shootouts, I have not yet shot it, as I fear the chrome finish will begin separating when exposed to the heat of any significant amount of firing. It is my opinion that this piece is best suited for a display case in a den, rather than a holster on the range.
