Five bullets for CTD service...shipped the same day ordered and arrived well packed, perfect condition. Three bullets for the accuracy of the ammo out of a 16" barrel FN SCAR-Light. Certainly not "Match" grade. After doing a web search, I found there were many, many accuracy-related complaints back in '10 when the 5.56 Superformance Match was released. According to online reports, Hornady was swapping out the ammo for later lot numbers when customers complained. No current accuracy complaints found so maybe I received an earlier lot which was hanging around in one of the warehouses since I ordered a case of ammo. 300 meter accuracy isn't too bad off a bipod, but 10-shot groups are running more than double what I see with Black Hills 5.56mm 77gr Sierra OTM. SouthWest Ammo loadings with 69gr and 77gr Sierra Matchking bullets have also proven to be significantly more accurate than this Hornady load. I won't be buying more of this ammo unless I can determine that I indeed received some of the early loadings...and that later lots of the ammo have demonstrated increased accuracy by shooters I trust to be objective. One additional note...I chronographed 15 of the Hornady loads and the extreme velocity spread was just a whisker under 62fps. That by itself is not match accuracy but even more disturbing was the offset normal distribution, meaning you'd have a grouping of velocities very close to each other and then a shot with a velocity 50+fps higher which would go wide of the mark. Many casual shooters would just attribute that one to shooter error (a pulled shot) but it's most likely the fault of this ammo, which certainly doesn't deserve "Match" in the name.
